About "My Jerky Life"

My Jerky Life "Beef Jerky" is made with much love, patience and the right ingredients. The whole process takes several days from finding the right cuts of quality beef, having these cuts sliced to precision for the right thickness desired, marinating, then off to the dehydrator where the smell consumes your senses, keeps your mouth watering and tons of questions, "Is It Done Yet ?!?".
Special orders are the best way for freshness less I have some on hand which will need to be consumed within a month's time.
The Shelf life per all my research says the best beef jerky is eaten within a months time less stored in a freezer which can be stored up to five (5) years and will loose flavor. How much of the loss of flavor happens I have no documentation to prove or not prove because it never last long soon after making it. As soon as I make it everyone has it eaten within a few days if it lasts a few days.
We grew up actions speak louder than words. With all the eagerness to consume the freshly made jerky in my home this tells me it must be good less its a phone call asking me did I make any more yet or do I have any on hand, lol.
I have been making beef jerky and deer jerky for over 30+ years. It all started with a way to preserve deer meat so I made jerky. When there was no deer available I experimented with beef. In my opinion once you have deer jerky there is a total taste difference. But, finding the right ingredients made all the difference for me where each type of meat will have a different flavor. "It tastes so Good!" it leaves this imprint on your taste buds and your mind remembering the taste and the urge of wanting another piece and can't wait for the next. Before you know it I'm always like I can't believe there isn't anymore. Where did it all go?
Mom's like a piece for each hand only I think what she is really saying, one for each hand because you don't know if there is going to be any left. You will have the last one to savor in the other hand till another batch is made, lol. i know one piece leaves me yearning for another and another and when I go to get another and find there is no more I'm like guess it time to make some more.
Making Jerky, good tasting jerky sends me to my happy place giving me hope it is all going to work out and be o.k. My jerky life left me penniless about ten plus years ago. I was scammed out of my life I built, lost my home to foreclosure, tricked out of my vehicle and sold off anything of value to support my precious gift from the Mystery Creator. Living off basically nothing for this past ten plus years has given me humbling beginning each day and new appreciations for what I have now. It may be a jerky day each day but it is My Jerky Life of positive memories to share :)
The thought of making jerky came to me to share with the public because of a gentleman that pulled up in the driveway and asked if I would make him some. I told him I would make it and give it to him but he wasn't going to hear of it. He encouraged me to make it for the public. "This could launch you back out into the world." I do so love watching the look on people's faces of total enjoyment. Especially those that consume it so fast I wonder if they are going to come up for air, "David", lol.
I told myself 5/12/2018 will be the official day I launch it at the Tractor Supply Market Day. I truly just want to keep it personalized. I really enjoy making it mostly because I love to share and consume it but to share with others and get compensated just might be what helps me bring myself back out into the world and end hiding.
I do so much for others this could really compliment my jerky life. The name "My Jerky Life" just came to me as with all the names when someone calls me and we bounce ideas off one another for their business. I thought to myself I really resonate as does my life. This is my inspiration I told myself, It's My Time. I may have a jerky life but its my jerky life.
Please know when you purchase from me you are purchasing a labor of love, I demand quality, and my life isn't perfect and it may be jerky but its My Jerky Life :)
